## Overview

**Serves:** /featured-members (nid 63796) and its 11 cluster pages /featured-members/<slug>; /scholarship-recipients-all (nid 33817). **Base page:** /featured-members, copy as on prod 2026-10-14. **Page kind:** conversion (the route is “complete your profile”). [All recipes](/recipes/)

**How to use this recipe:** it shows a proven page shape, not a fixed template. Start from the closest recipe, choose the components that fit the content, combine them as needed and leave out what does not fit. Only the component rules are fixed: grounds, one gold element per viewport, heading order, marks and the rules on each component page.

**Build it in code.** The member cards are a copy of live user records (photo, handle, privacy). Generate the directory from user records; this recipe fixes the markup the code prints.

**Sections of the base page** (ground in brackets):

1. Page head [soft]: H1 and lead. No button: the anchor nav follows.
2. Anchor nav [white, compact band].
3. Collections [soft]: link-card grid, one card per cluster page.
4. Personal brand [white]: band head, one button, a fine-print line.
5. Directory [soft]: band head, letter nav, then one group per initial: a group heading with its count, and a member-card grid.
6. Build your profile [white]: steps (3), one button, a fine-print line.
7. FAQ [soft]: accordion.
8. CTA band [navy]: closing band with the disclaimer as its note.

**Components:** page-head, band, heading, eyebrow, anchor-nav, card (link), member-card (--links for two routes in a short list, --row in `hs-member-rows` for a long list), group-head, avatar --md, steps, qa --accordion, fine print, button, link, cta-band.

**Rules:**

- One member card = one `<a>` to the profile. A row that needs a second route (a school page, a video) uses `hs-member-card--links`: a basic card with two plain links.
- A long list with two routes per member (about 20+ rows) uses the row list: `ul.hs-member-rows` with `li.hs-member-card--row`. `/scholarship-recipients-all` (131 rows) uses it.
- The avatar next to the member’s name takes `alt=""`: the name is right beside it.
- Meta lines are values only (field of study, school). One or two lines; skip an empty field.
- No counts in copy (“106 profiles”) unless code computes them. The group heading count is computed in code.
- One button per band; every band has `data-section`; every route has the two PostHog attributes.
- Keep each card on one line: full_html turns a newline between inline elements into `<br>`.

## Notes

**Changes from the prod page (structure, not copy):**

- The hero h2 “Real people. Ambition in every profile.” has no place in the page head; the H1 is the node title.
- The second hero paragraph and its two buttons (“Explore all 11 featured collections”, “View all 106 public profiles”) left the page head: the anchor nav carries both routes, and the counts drift.
- The letter-group headings keep their counts in the group heading (“A”, “13 members”); code computes them. The step labels “01 / Introduce yourself” left the steps: the component draws the number.
- Member cards lost the “Study / interests:” and “Education:” labels and the “Public member profile” line.
- The related-links box (4 links) became the closing CTA band: one button and one link. “Member resources” and “Profile support” were left out. “Back to the member directory” was left out.
- The letter nav in this sample lists 11 initials; prod has 19 (A–W).

**Copy issues (kept as written):**

- H1 “Honor Society Featured Members” is the first reference and has no ®.
- Banned nouns: “opportunity”, “opportunities”, “resources” (personal-brand note, CTA band, FAQ), “more” (“learn more”, “more focused”).
- Counts in copy: “11 featured member collections” (anchor nav, h2), “106 public profiles” (directory lead). They drift; code must compute them or the copy drops them.
- “Scholarship opportunities” as a button label is not verb + noun (“See scholarships”).
- User data is not normalised: lower-case fields (“civil engineering”) and raw school names on prod (“georgia institute of technology-main campus”, “Asu”).

**Dynamic parts that need code:**

- The whole directory: member cards (picture image-style URL with `itok`, name, handle, field, school), the letter nav (only initials that have members), and every count. Same for the 11 cluster pages.
- /scholarship-recipients-all: 131 rows with two links each (name to the profile, school to /university/<slug>). 44 of 126 profile links fail for a visitor. Generate from the 45 scholarship_recipients nodes.

**/scholarship-recipients-all on this recipe:** page head, anchor nav by award (8 links), recipient-story cards (`hs-member-card--recipient`, as in R1), then one band per award with two groups (“Scholarship recipients”, “Historical finalists”), each a group heading with its count and a row list (`ul.hs-member-rows`, `li.hs-member-card--row`): the name links to the profile, the school to `/university/<slug>`. See [Recipients page](#recipients-page). FAQ, CTA band. Remove the pasted `<meta>`, `<title>`, `<main>` and the 1023 empty paragraphs first.

**The hs_mcp validator must allow** (only if this ships as hs_html_page, not code): `<nav>`; `data-section` with a slug value; class-based styling. Drop `decoding` and the `data-hs-member`, `data-hs-group`, `data-hs-cluster-navigation`, `data-recipient-name`, `data-record-status` attributes: none is needed.

**Missing components:**

- Letter index: the anchor nav works, but a single-letter link is a narrow tap target (40px tall, about 10px wide).
